To design and refresh the concept for  Island Poké.

Action

Island Poké approached us to work with them onthe design for their latest store on Great Titchfield Street, London. The brand already had 3 stores and we were charged with creating a cohesive design that was fresh, reflected the ethos of the brand and could be adapted and rolled out to future stores.

Taking our inspiration from the Hawaiian origins of Island Poké, we looked to the sea and movement to create a point of interest. Using tile we reflected the colours of the sea as well as the pink ofthe fresh salmon in the dishes. Live edge oak and Rattan lights add a natural element to the interior and feature coloured pendants highlight to fish and toppings behind the counter that make up the poké bowls.

We wanted to create a shop front that stood outand brought as much natural light into the space as possible. To do this wecreated natural hardwood full height windows with high bench seating. For the fascia panel, natural copper is left to patina reflecting the movement and colour of the sea.

In this store we have created a palette of materials that can be tweaked and modified for each new store allowing us to always offer something different while being instantly recognisable as anIsland Poké.
