Project
Our brief on this project was to design a Middle Eastern inspired space that could transition from all day dining to private functions in the evening. This is the second site we developed within this complex.
Action
The site sits below the railway arch at Wood Lane. The majority of the walls and the whole ceiling are formed by the original brickwork of the arch. This presented a unique challenge operationally as we needed to maintain sightlines through the space.
The solution was to stack all the services along one side of the arch and leave the center and opposite side free and flexible for the client
We took inspiration from the cuisine and colour pallettes of the Middle East which complemented the existing brickwork. We also designed an outside space that reflects the interior.
The result is a space that is full of activity with the interior and exterior linked.
